1. Compliance Commitment

Shield Safety Wallet maintains a risk-based AML and counter-terrorist financing framework designed to identify and prevent misuse of financial services. Compliance controls are aligned with applicable statutory and regulatory obligations in relevant jurisdictions.

2. Governance and Oversight

Compliance governance is supported by designated oversight roles responsible for implementing AML controls, reviewing risk events, maintaining internal procedures, and coordinating regulatory responses when required.

3. Customer Due Diligence

Customer due diligence may include identity checks, beneficial ownership verification, source-of-funds inquiry, and enhanced due diligence for elevated-risk profiles, transactions, or geographies.

4. Screening Controls

We may screen users and activity against sanctions, watchlists, and other relevant risk intelligence sources. Positive or potential matches are escalated for additional review and control decisions.

5. Monitoring and Detection

Transactions and behavioral patterns are monitored for indicators of unusual or suspicious activity, including structuring, rapid movement patterns, high-risk destinations, or account takeover signals.

6. Reporting and Escalation

Where required by law, suspicious activity may be escalated internally and reported to competent authorities. We may cooperate with lawful requests from regulators and law-enforcement agencies.

7. Account Actions

Accounts may be restricted, suspended, or terminated when AML concerns arise, including incomplete verification, evasion attempts, sanctioned activity, or other indicators of prohibited conduct.

8. Recordkeeping

We retain records relevant to onboarding, risk assessments, account actions, and transaction investigations for periods required by applicable law and regulatory standards.

9. Policy Review and Training

This policy is reviewed periodically to reflect legal changes, operational risk trends, and control effectiveness. Relevant personnel receive periodic awareness and process training aligned with role responsibilities.
